The Oscar Hammerstein Award

The Oscar Hammerstein award is named in honor of the legendary lyricist and librettist who helped to shape American Musical Theatre. In 2017, the award was presented to Harvey Schmidt and Tom Jones (The Fantastiks, I Do I Do, 110 in the Shade and more). The show was directed by Richard Jay-Alexander with musical direction by Andrew Gerle. Ava was honored to perform “Maybe” at the annual gala which benefits the York Theatre Company.
