I performed "I Want You Back" by the Jackson 5 at the Kidz Bop talent search during halftime at a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.
This month, I played the violin and performed as part of an all-Broadway children's choir for an upcoming music video produced by Eduardo Pons Jimenez for singer, David Aleksander. The beautiful song and video, "Sentiras Mi Amor" is the Spanish language translation of Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love", recently popularized by Adele. It is scheduled for release in October 2016.
I had the best time performing in this tribute to Andrew Lloyd Webber that aired on Good Morning America in December 2016. We joined the casts of Phantom of the Opera and CATS to give this special one-time-only performance on GMA.
The kids from Broadway's School of Rock were invited to perform at Brooks Brothers for the annual St. Jude Holiday Celebration. We sang "If Only You Would Listen" from the show. Jenn Gambatese (who plays Rosalie in SOR) sang holiday songs as well.
My mom was thrilled to meet actress Marlo Thomas and the head of St. Jude's Children's Hospital
I'm so grateful to have been a part of the creation of "I Have A Voice", a new anti-bullying charity single and two videos. Over 70 child actors are featured from Broadway's School of Rock, The Lion King, Kinky Boots, On Your Feet, Matilda the Musical and more.
Van Dean, President of Broadway Records and one of the co-founders of the "Broadway for Orlando" charitable initiative, produced the project. The music is from the upcoming musical, "Song of Bernadette", written by Frank Wildhorn and Robin Lerner.
The single is available for purchase at www.BroadwayRecords.com, Amazon.com, iTunes and more. 100% of the proceeds goes to the non-profit No Bully. Please, share it with everyone you know!
The School of Rock kids cast and I, along with Eric Peterson as Dewey Finn, conducted a meet and greet for holiday shoppers and performed a musical number from the show at the Time Warner Center. Video coming soon!
GYPSY OF THE YEAR is an annual event that wraps six weeks of fundraising for Broadway Cares, Equity Fights AIDS. This year, I performed with the young cast of School of Rock. We parodied Hamilton's opening number with an amped-up rock 'n' roll version.
Bruno Mars came to see School of Rock during December. WOW!
I love his music. After the show, he visited the cast backstage and took some photos!
We had the best time performing "Stick It To The Man" on Thanksgiving Day on CBS. Watch the video here.
This month, Andrew Lloyd Webber visited the theatre to see the show. It was incredibly exciting to see him again. This time, we got a photo!
I performed in a staged reading of a brilliant new musical in development at The New Victory Theatre, NYC.
In a fairy tale world where everything is grey, the town Wizard accidently invents Blue, with unexpected consequesnces. Four-time Richard Gerle and two-time Tony nominee John Carrafa bring to life the book by Arnold Lobel, author of beloved Frod and Toad series, in a new musical about the joys of exploration and discovery.
I play Iris in this show, written by the amazing Andrew Gerle and directed by John Carrafa. I love seeing a new show come to life and I'm honored to play a part in taking it on its journey! Learn more about the Great Blueness here.
I performed as Summer, the "band manager" and Sophie, the "roadie" this month!
It was an honor to work with David Aleksander on two music videos for his new release, Y Sentiras Mi Amor (Bob Dylan's "Make You Feel My Love"). In the main video, I am featured playing the violin.
I also joined with some of the Broadway kids to film a Silent Night rendition for the holidays, delivering a beautiful message of generosity, love and compassion.
I was videotaped and interviewed for FOX 5 News at 5 about my life on Broadway! They asked me about how I juggle it all. The newscaster, Jodi Goldberg, was so nice!
The Broadway Flea Market is held each year to support Broadway Cares, Equity Fights AIDS. This was my first time attending and I'm so glad I did. It's the biggest day for Broadway Fans and is held in Shubert Alley.
It's great to be a part of a community that does so much to give back to others. My mom and I donated School of Rock robes and luggage tags that were sold at Broadway Flea. See our 'merch' below.
Can't wait for Broadway Flea 2017!
I had the best time this past weekend. I was on for Summer, the band manager, at Broadway's School of Rock.
Here are some photos from the weekend. Thank you to all who were able to attend; it was great to see you!
This was the best day!
I got to meet (and hug) Barbra Streisand when she visited the theatre. It's amazing to think that she did her first Broadway show on the same stage as School of Rock. What an honor!
I'm so grateful to have spent my vacation from Broadway's School Of Rock at Vassar College where I was in a staged reading (in which I played one of the main characters) of a wonderful new musical called The Great Blueness, written and composed by the ultra-talented Andrew Gerle. The reading was part of the New York Stage and Film Festival where Hamilton, Bright Star and other notable Broadway shows got their start! It was awesome!!
Also in July, School of Rock had a surprise visitor! Alex Lifeson, the guitarist for RUSH came to the musical and gave us some advice! Thanks Alex!
